Unit Overview

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate a vehicle loading crane with a capacity of less than 10 metre‑tonnes, typically mounted on trucks to load and unload materials. It applies to workers in civil construction, transport, logistics, and other industries where small vehicle loading cranes are used. It does not cover cranes with a capacity of 10 metre‑tonnes or greater, which require a High Risk Work Licence (CV Class).
