Summary

The student needs to have held a HC (Heavy Combination) licence for a period of at least 12 months before they can participate in this course.

This training course is held on a one-on-one basis.
Student may require an assessment lesson prior to commencing this course.

 

Training option 1 –

If the student holds a current HC (Heavy Combination) licence, this course is typically delivered over a period of 1.2 days.

As part of this delivery model, the student will attend a 2-hour theory training session, which includes knowledge development and theory assessment. This session is conducted prior to or at the commencement of the practical training component.

This approach ensures the student has the required underpinning knowledge before progressing into practical driving and assessment, supporting improved efficiency, confidence, and overall competency outcomes.

 

Training option 2 – Contact office for price

A staged training approach designed to improve learning outcomes and provide greater flexibility for students.

Course Structure:

  • 3 hours theory training and assessment + truck and trailer induction
  • 2 x 3-hour practical driving sessions
  • Final Competency Assessment (3 Hour Block)

After the student is deemed competent, they will be given a Statement of Attainment that they would need to present to Queensland Transport so the MC (Multi-combination) class can be endorsed on their licence.
