SUMMARY
This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a boom-type Elevating Work Platform (WP) where the length of the boom is eleven metres or more in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Competence in this unit, does not in itself result in a Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to operate this plant.

DURATION
This course is a 3-day course.

CERTIFICATION
On successful completion of this course students will be issued with a:

• Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0005 Licence to Operate a Boom Type Elevating Work Platform (Boom Length 11 metres or more).
• Interim High Risk Work Licence, valid for 60 days. Which allows you to operate an WP whilst your submitted application is being processed by WorkSafe.

CERTIFICATION EXPIRY
Your Statement of Attainment does not have an expiry date; however, your High-Risk Work Licence expires every 5 years. You must not carry out high-risk work until your licence has been renewed.
