| Description | This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to assess and fell basic trees manually using a chainsaw, and to complete routine operator chainsaw maintenance. Trees typical to the scope of this unit may have some of the following characteristics: Diameter at breast height (DBH) up to 600 mm. Lean up to 15 degrees from the vertical. Height up to 20 m. Single stem or multiple stems up to 600 mm DBH. No defects or features that would affect the felling process. |
